FAYETTEVILLE POLICE RELEASE NAME

Fayetteville Police Chief Greg Tabor announced today additional information regarding the Aggravated Residential Burglary at 232 North Olive Street.
On Monday, November 29, 2011, at approximately 9:19 P.M., Fayetteville police officers responded to 232 North Olive Street to investigate a report of an aggravated residential burglary. Officers learned through the investigation that two men who live at the address were home alone when three armed black males broke into the home. One of the black males, Roderick Rashaun Cooper, age 21, of Fayetteville, was shot during the burglary. Cooper was transported from 232 North Olive Street to Washington Regional Medical Center by Central Emergency Medical Service, where he died of his wounds. The two remaining suspects fled the residence and have not yet been identified.
