Fayetteville Police Warrant Division
The Fayetteville Police Department Warrant Division serves criminal summons, subpoenas, and warrants issued by the Fayetteville District Court. Approximately nine hundred warrants are issued each month. The Warrants division serves approximately eight hundred warrants each month. This averages to approximately nine thousand warrants and subpoenas each year.
Under normal circumstances individuals who turn themselves in on an active warrant from the Fayetteville Police Department can be released on a citation without paying any money, as opposed to posting a bond with a Bonding Company. Individuals released on a citation promise to appear in court at a later date.
The Warrants Division is also responsible for the transport of prisoners arrested on Fayetteville warrants by other agencies. Warrant Officers travel thousands of miles each year transporting prisoners.
