Curb the Clutter

Litter is a problem for communities of all sizes, and only with the help of all of its citizens can a community hope to keep their environment clean and beautiful. To meet this end, the City of Fayetteville sponsors the Curb-the-Clutter program. This program encourages collective responsibility for our environment by encouraging individual citizens and groups to adopt a street to pick up litter at regular intervals. Individuals, families, organizations, and businesses can participate by registering with us. Once we have received your registration information we will make an Curb the Clutter street sign displaying your group/organization's name.

Curb-the-Clutter requires nothing more than the hard work and dedication of you and your group. The Solid Waste and Recycling Division will provide you with all materials and supplies (like trash bags and safety vests) to help with your clean-ups. An activity Report Form is also included to report on the activity of your group and maintain figures on amounts that are collected and disposed of properly.

Currently there are 62 areas designated for cleaning comprising nearly 40 miles of streets dedicated through this program.

For more information about the Curb-the-Clutter Program or to register your group for a spot, please call (479) 718-7685 to receive the registration form. If you are an existing participant please call (479) 718-7685 to set-up a time to maintain your spot.
