Recycling Drop-Off Site
The City of Fayetteville provides a free 24 Hour Community Recycling Drop-Off located at 1560 S. Happy Hollow Road for residents to use for recycling items from their waste stream. This service is provided as a convenience to our residents and is utilized frequently. It is very important to remember that this drop-off area is for recyclables ONLY! This area is NOT designed to collect hazardous waste (paints, oils, cleaners and other home chemicals), large bulky items (furniture and appliances), or electrical items (T.V’s, computers, radios, microwaves, VCR’s). Most of those items can be taken to the Washington County Household Hazardous Waste Trailer for free or a small charge. Washington County can be reached at (479) 444-1725. It is illegal to drop-off items other than the recyclable materials collected on site. There is a $1000 fine for illegally dropping unauthorized items at the site. - Newspaper (Must be placed in Roll-Off container marked Newspaper; please remove plastic wrapping)
- Corragated Cardboard (Must be flattened and placed in roll-off container marked Cardboard)
- Paperboard or Chipboard (ex: cereal or detergent boxes, Must be flattened and placed in with the Cardboard)
- Plastic bottles #1 (ex: Soda, water, shampoo bottles; please remove lids; must be placed in roll-off marked plastic #1)
- Plastic #2 (ex: milk jugs, detergent bottles; please remove lids; must be placed in roll-off container marked Plastic #2)
- Aluminum cans (No tin foil or scrap metal; must be placed in roll-off container marked Aluminum)
- Steel or Tin cans (No scrap metal; must be placed in roll-off container marked Steel Cans)
- Clear, Green or Brown glass containers (Must be separated by color and placed in roll-off container for glass; no dishes, ceramics, light bulbs or other glass items are accepted)
- Junk Mail, Office Paper and Magazines (Must be placed in Roll off labeled mixed paper)
