Solid Waste and Recycling Holiday Waste Collection Schedule

Please note that the schedule for waste, recycling and yardwaste collection varies during this holiday season, with routes being delayed one day starting Tuesday, December 25 and again on Tuesday, January 1; and the Solid Waste and Recycling Office, Compost Facility, and Transfer Station will be closed on the January 1st New Years Day Holiday.  The specific schedule for the upcoming days during this holiday are as follows: 

Christmas Holiday  All routes will be delayed one day starting on Tuesday, December 25th. 

  •  Tuesday, December 25th routes for residential and commercial collections will run on Wednesday, December 26th.
  •  Wednesday, December 26th routes for residential and commercial collections will run on Thursday, December 27th.
  •  Thursday, December 27th routes for residential and commercial collections will run on Friday, December 28th.

New Years Holiday  The Solid Waste and Recycling office, Compost Facility and Transfer Station will be closed to the public on Tuesday, January 1st in observance of the New Year holiday.  All routes will be delayed one day starting on Tuesday, January 1st. 

  •  Tuesday, January 1st routes for residential and commercial collections will run on Wednesday, January 2nd.
  •  Wednesday, January 2nd routes for residential and commercial collections will run on Thursday, January 3rd.
  •  Thursday, January 3rd routes for residential and commercial collections will run on Friday, January 4th.

Please have all trash carts, recycling bins and yardwaste out for collection the night before your scheduled pick up to make sure items are ready for pick up.

Christmas Tree Recycling

Residents can set their live Christmas trees curbside on their regular service day for collection with the yardwaste program.  Trees will be collected curbside during the month of January 2013.  Residents can also bring their trees to the Compost site located at 1708 S. Armstrong Ave. free of charge on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s from 8 am to 3 pm.  The site will be closed on Tuesday, January 1st and open on Saturday, January 5th from 8am to noon.  All trees must be free from all plastic bags, stands, decorations, lights, and tinsel before they will be collected.  No artificial trees will be collected curbside.
