Ward 4 Bulky Waste clean up scheduled for Saturday, September 29th
Clean ups are for large bulky items only
Alderwomen Rhonda Adams and Sarah Lewis announce that the City of Fayetteville’s Ward 4 will host a Fall Bulky Waste Clean up on Saturday, September 29, 2012, from 7:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the following two locations:
- Owl Creek School (Front parking lot) 375 N. Rupple Road
- Holcomb Elementary 2900 North Salem Road (**moved from originally planned Shaver Foods parking lot due to Bikes Blues and BBQ)
Also, there are limitations on what can be accepted, see below for details on the requirements. Limit one (1) freon bearing appliance per household. You must bring your current City water bill for verification of residency in order to drop off items.
Items allowed: Items not allowed:
Couches, chairs, mattresses Household Hazardous Wastes; such
Large appliances; such as, refrigerators, as, paint, thinners, solvents,
stoves, washers, dryers. pesticides, herbicides,
Carpet, padding, vinyl flooring, drywall, batteries, cleaning chemicals,
paneling (Limited amounts only, no automotive fluids, etc. -
contractors allowed). Household garbage
Lawn mowers, hot water heaters, Commercial garbage
plumbing fixtures. Medical waste
Dirt, rocks, brush, leaves and grass
Tires, Washington County operates a tire trailer.

E-Scrap is no longer accepted at these City of Fayetteville clean ups. Due to costs beyond our control, we are no longer able to accept E-Scrap for recycling--including T.V.’s, computers, etc. at the Ward Bulky Waste clean ups. Washington County’s Household Hazardous Waste facility does accept E-Scrap for a fee during their normal operating hours (M-F from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.), and the County’s HHW also operates a tire trailer (the County’s HHW is located at 2615 Brink Dr. in south Fayetteville). The County HHW may be contacted at 444-1725.
