Curb the Clutter

Help us Keep Fayetteville Beautiful!

Litter is a problem for communities of all sizes, and only with the help of dedicated citizens can a community keep their environment clean and beautiful. The City of Fayetteville sponsors the Curb The Clutter program to encourage collective responsibility for our environment.  In this program, individual citizens and groups adopt a street on which to pick up litter at regular intervals. Individuals, families, organizations, and businesses can participate by registering with us. Once we have received your registration information we will make a Curb The Clutter street sign displaying your group/organization's name.

Curb The Clutter requires nothing more than the hard work and dedication of you and your group. The Solid Waste and Recycling Division will provide you with all materials and supplies (like trash bags, gloves, and safety vests) to help with your clean-ups. An Activity Report Form is also included to report on the activity of your group and maintain figures on amounts that are collected and disposed of properly.  There is also a Check List to make sure you have all you need to conduct a clean-up.

Currently there are 62 areas designated for cleaning comprising nearly 40 miles of streets dedicated through this program.

For more information about the Curb The Clutter Program or to register your group for a street, please call (479) 718-7685 to receive the registration form. If you are an existing participant please call (479) 718-7685  or e-mail here to set-up a time to maintain your street.
