Transfer Station Operation

The City of Fayetteville operates a Transfer Station for disposal of municipal waste located at 1560 S. Happy Hollow Road in southeast Fayetteville.  To reach the scale house at the Transfer Station please call the main Solid Waste number at 479-575-8398.  Both private haulers and the general public can use the facility for the disposal of municipal waste.  The cost for disposal is $41.30 per ton or a $26.30 minimum charge or $6 per bag charge.  Cash, check or approved charge accounts only.  No Credit Cards accepted.

The hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 7:00 am until 2:00 pm. 

Saturday hours are 8:00 am until 10:00 am.  

The municipal waste received at the facility is tipped on the floor of the Transfer Station, loaded into open top transfer trailers and taken to the Eco Vista Landfill in Tontitown.  The Transfer Station provides for efficient and safe handling of Solid Waste for the City of Fayetteville.
