The City of Fayetteville is focused on becoming a resource efficient community of livable neighborhoods that meets present needs without compromising opportunities for health, well-being and the prosperity of future generations.
The Sustainability & Strategic Planning Department is focused on a triple-bottom line approach (economic, environmental, and social) to policy development and project management. This includes working with community members and City departments on policy development, master plans and grant applications. The Department also serves as a liaison to local, state and national organizations on environmental protection, transportation, green building and energy issues.
