Water & Sewer Operations Vehicle Idling Policy

This policy, which was adopted for the purpose of reducing the unnecessary idling of city vehicles, states that vehicles may only sit idling if it is essential for performance of work and if the time period does not exceed five minutes.  The benefits of reduced engine idling include reduced fuel use and related costs, reduced vehicle wear, better air quality and a better public image.
