Transportation

The City of Fayetteville Transportation Division provides maintenance for City streets, rights-of-way, drainage systems, traffic signals, and sidewalks.  Additionally, the Transportation Division provides new traffic signal, sidewalk, and trail construction utilizing existing City staff, vehicles, and equipment.

Approximately 400 miles of streets, 300 miles of sidewalks, and 200 miles of drainage ditches are currently maintained. Since 2006, 9.16 miles of new trails have been constructed.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) maintains state highways, interstates, and access roads. Highway 265, Highway 45, Highway 112, Highway 16E, Highway 16W, Highway 62, Highway 180, Highway 156, and Highway 71B are maintained by the state.
