Asphalt Plans for Week of June 1, 2009

Traffic will be moving slower in these areas.  Allow extra time.

The Transportation Division will be working in several areas over the next week.  The overlay of the westbound lanes of North Street from Lafayette to the Railroad Tracks were completed on Friday, May 29 and the eastbound lanes will be scheduled for Monday, June 1.  Once the paving is completed, striping North Street will be scheduled. 

On Wednesday, June 3 the Asphalt crew will begin grading, rolling and resetting the base on BLUE JAY from Wedington south to the dead end.   This work will take several days and then an asphalt overlay will be placed on the road.

Starting also on Wednesday or Thursday crews will begin milling and preparing for an overlay of MALINDA, VILLAGE DRIVE and WAYNE, from Appleby to Village Drive.

Please drive carefully in these areas and watch for workers and machinery.
