			<description><![CDATA[<p class="MsoNormal">Due to the ice storm and treacherous road conditions the City of Fayetteville Solid Waste and Recycling Division &nbsp;has suspended all solid waste and recycling collections for the remainder of the week of January 24th through the 30th.&nbsp; All residential and commercial collections will resume if road conditions allow on Monday, February 1st 2010.&nbsp;&nbsp; All residential collections were completed for the week and only commercial collections usually serviced on Friday&rsquo;s and Saturday&rsquo;s will be affected by the inclement weather conditions. &nbsp;</p>]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[Severe winter weather is scheduled to hit Fayetteville tonight, For information this weekend during the storm regarding shelters or the need for non-emergency assistance, you may contact the Fayetteville Police Department at 587-3555, and press 1 for Dispatch. &nbsp;If you are worried about a family member and cannot get out to check on him/her, call the Police Department Dispatch at 587-3555 and press 1 for Dispatch.&nbsp; The City of Fayetteville has designated and prepared shelters, and when word is received from Washington County Emergency Management and/or the Red Cross to open a shelter, those shelters will be open on an as-needed basis.&nbsp; The first shelter that is scheduled to open after call volumes meet the minimum requirements for shelter is the Donald W. Reynolds Boys and Girls Club.&nbsp; This information will be provided to the public once that shelter has been designated to open.&nbsp;&nbsp;]]></description>
